Rotating Assemblies
|
Manley offers full rotating assembly kits for many popular applications. Each kit comes with crankshaft, forged pistons, forged connecting rods, and engine bearings. Crankshafts are forged or billet depending on the application.
Crankshaft Features:
- Premium heat treated forgings or lightweight 4340 billet
- Multi-step heat treatment process and Nitrided for added strength
- Stress relieved, shot-peened, and 100% magnafluxed
- Fully profiled knife-edged counterweights on the billet forgings
Piston Features:
- Forged from 2618 alloy for maximum high temperature strength and fatigue resistance
- "Contour forgings" provide the optimum balance between strength and weight with no grain-interrupting internal milling
- Proprietary multi-step top ring groove machining process assures optimum control of the groove's size, geometry, flatness, and finish
- All final turning is performed in one fixturing resulting in complete squareness of rings to the cylinder wall
- Federal Form-Scan gauging validates ideal skirt indexing to pinhole and skirt-to-skirt polarity
- Value - added features such as a pressure balance groove included in all series
- Precise pinhole machining results in an exact compression distance as well as precise lock ring groove spacing, size, and concentricity
Rod Features:
- 4340 material forgings or aircraft quality 300M material for extreme boost
- Fully machined, heat treated, stress relieved, shot peened, and 100% magnafluxed
- Big and small end bores are final honed to a tolerance of ± .0002"
- Bend and twist is tightly controlled
- Weight matched to +/- 1.5 grams
- H-Beam and H-Tuff rods comes standard with 3/8" ARP 2000 bolts (affix an R6 suffix for ARP 625+ bolt upgrade)
- I-Beam and 300M r0ds comes standard with 3/8" ARP 2000 bolts (affix an R6 suffix for ARP 625+ bolt upgrade)
