Electronics are necessary for proper engine control for any high performance vehicle. Factory electronics are often not up to the task for high performance race applications. The included sensors operate in narrow parameters suitable for street cars; however, race cars operate in a wide range of environments. The extreme conditions which high performance engines operate in require wideband sensors, high pressure MAP sensors, and air intake temperature sensors. In case anything goes wrong, display gauges are necessary to diagnose the problem and prevent catastrophic engine damage.
