This Brake Pros Big Brake Upgrade Kit for the 1998-2004 Lexus GS430/400 feature high-strength, lightweight, pressure-cast aluminum alloy body 6-piston calipers. These calipers have a 2-piece design for maximum rigidity in a streetable caliper and use a fixed radial mount for best pedal feel. Each AP Racing caliper has 6 sequential pistons to minimize pad taper and maximize pad area. Anti-knock back and dust seals are included for consistent, firm pedal that makes these kits useable for everyday driving. The kit also has AP Racing's 343mm modular discs that offer exceptional performance and are the perfect match for the included calipers. The discs have directional curved vanes for maximum cooling and aluminum alloy hats (2-piece discs only) to handle the heat. Each disc is cross-drilled AND slotted for aggressive pad bite and additional cooling. This kit is matched with virtually fade-free brake pads made with the Mintex Xtreme Motorsport Pad Compound. This compound provides a consistent coefficient of friction cold to over 1300F which results in linear response and quick release. They are also easier on discs than many current “high-performance” compounds while maintaining the lowest noise possible. Topping it all off are DOT-compliant and TÜV-approved stainless steel lines are included to top off the upgrade and provide a huge improvement in pedal feel and stiffness. This kit is perfect for your high performance GS430/400 both for track and street use. Being able to stop in the shortest distance is just as important as being able to go fast. I have these on my gs and compared to stock there is a lot less pedal travel with this kit. The stopping power feels 2x more powerful over stock.
