Skunk Racing Forged Valves
Skunk2 Racing forged valves are completely designed and tested in-house to ensure the highest quality and maximum performance gains. All valves are thoroughly tested in engines both on the dynometer and on the road. Manufactured from the best materials available, Skunk2 valves provide exceptional performance, reliability, and quality. Skunk2 stands behind its valves and they are standard issue on all the project cars and race cars they build and support. Each valve begins with HNV-3 martensitic steel or EV8 austenitic steel one-piece forging that is heat treated using a proprietary heat treatment process for exceptional strength and durability. All valves feature a special hardened tip which will not deform or gall when used with high-lift camshafts. Skunk2 forged valves feature specially designed valve head profiles to optimize airflow when used with stock or performance valve jobs. Each valve is precision CNC-machined and polished and has a hard chrome plating or chromium nitride applied to reduce friction and increase wear resistance. Skunk2 Racing valves are offered in Ultra Series and Alpha Series trim levels with both stock and over sizes in standard and high compression styles available. Skunk2 forged valves are the perfect choice for use with Skunk2 Racing camshafts, Skunk2 Racing valve springs, and Skunk2 Racing titanium retainer kits.
