Lower Control Arms
Skunk2 Rear Lower Control Arms replace stock control arms while retaining factory suspension geometry. The Skunk2 Racing Rear Lower Control Arms are forged from aircraft quality AL2024 billet aluminum, precision CNC machined and are over 25% lighter than stock arms. Skunk2 Lower Control Arms feature adjustable sway bar mounting holes so you can fine tune the feel and balance of the rear suspension, and also feature low deflection polyurethane bushing which act as bearings for quicker response and a more positive feel. By allowing the lower control arm to rotate freely about the bushing, Skunk2 Racing eliminated the tearing and unseating commonly found with fixed rubber bushings. Rear suspension performance and feel is further enhanced when the Skunk2 Rear Lower Control Arms are used in conjunction with Skunk2 Racing Rear Camber Kits, Skunk2 Racing Lower Arm Bars, and Skunk2 Racing Strut Tower Bars. Skunk2 Lower Control Arms are available in JDM Gold, Clear, and Hard Anodized Finishes.

Product Development
CAD/CAE DESIGN: 1. OEM Steel Lower Control Arm. 2. Prototype #2, Very strong, but was further redesigned to reduce weight. 3. Prototype #2: Subtle and slight changes of the design can have a dramatic effect on the strength of the product. These improvements were made possible by the use of Finite Element Anaylysis (FEA) to maximize the strength prior to production. A competing product may look identical, but Skunk2's strength goes beyond looks. 4. The final design. NOTE: All the analysis was done with the same load and restraints.
